The PIPELINEPONCHO™ is the only eco-friendly cover up on the market!

For years, surfers have struggled to change into and out of wetsuits and dry clothes in public parking lots. With cheap towels wrapped around our waists, we jerk and shimmy, attempting to dress while keeping our bodies covered. Conceived in the parking lot of San Onofre State Beach in Southern California, the PIPELINEPONCHO™ is an eco-friendly garment designed to cover your naughty bits and keep you warm while you change into your wetsuit.

The PIPELINEPONCHO™ is designed with a generous fit to accommodate most adult body types. The hood helps keep your body warm, while the arm openings make it easy to change into and out of your wetsuit. The PIPELINEPONCHO™ is made of eco-friendly fabric that is as soft on your skin as it is easy on the planet.

Why Eco-Friendly?

Since our passion for surfing depends so much on the health of the ocean, surfers are known for being an environmentally conscious lot. That’s why we’ve made the PIPELINEPONCHO™ with our social conscience in mind.

The PIPELINEPONCHO™ is made of 55% hemp/ 45% organic cotton fabric. PIPELINEPONCHO™ is not only made of sustainable materials, it’s manufactured in San Diego, California. From our fabric supplier to the factory that assembles the PIPELINEPONCHO™, we work with local, small businesses within Southern California.

Advantages of Hemp and Organic Cotton

Hemp and organic cotton are two of the most eco-friendly fabrics. Grown without pesticides and leaving a low carbon footprint, hemp is the ideal sustainable textile. Organic cotton offers the same versatility as regular cotton, but without the associated environmental destruction from pesticides and herbicides.

Hemp

Hemp is a versatile fiber that is soft, durable, and strong. The rounded edges of hemp fiber make it itch-free and perfect for those with sensitive skin. Twice as strong as cotton, hemp keeps its shape, even with heavy wear. Hemp is a breathable fabric that helps keep you warm when it’s cool outside and cool in warm weather. Most importantly, hemp is mold resistant, a great option for surfers and other water sports enthusiasts who may leave their PIPELINEPONCHO™ in a damp heap in the back of the truck.

Organic Cotton

Organic cotton is a sustainable, smart alternative to traditional cotton. Grown without pesticides, insecticides, and defoliants, organic cotton is an ideal option for people with sensitive skin and the environmentally conscious. Farmers who grow organic cotton use sustainable practices including crop rotation, beneficial insects, and organic fertilizers to grow the crop.
